Labor Day Reminder
Labor Day was created to celebrate (and/or appease) workers who fought for better hours, pay, protections, and breaks. As it towns employers weren’t lining up to get rid of 12 hour work days and child labor. So that progress is great, and it’s great to take a rest. But since things still aren’t ideal, it’s worth reminding ourselves that labor protections are still a work-in-progress. Because if this is what the finish line looks like, that would be incredibly sad.
