Upcoming Changes: A Blog Update

This blog has been active for a period of time that doesn’t bear too much thinking about, but it’s recently become clear to me that it’s time for a massive overhaul. While it made sense in the past to write about things I personally enjoy and what could generously be called “joke” posts, that version of this platform has run its course. Those posts tended to capitalize on “Nerd” culture and its associated media. That will no longer be the blog’s focus moving forward.

For those who have enjoyed engaging with that version of this blog, I apologize. Unfortunately, it’s simply time to move forward to the next logical step for calvinsharpebooks.com as a brand.

From now on, this blog will be strictly devoted to content related to animals in the business world, or “busi-mals” as they are known for short.

I want to assure loyal readers that while this new direction may appear kitsch, these will not be fluff pieces. I’ll be approaching the busi-mal brand with hard-hitting reporting and thorough research, beginning with one of the first breakthrough cases in the genre, Business Cat, which is featured below. The rise and fall of Business Cat will constitute a four-week investigative series.

Beyond Business Cat, I can tell you that I’m delighted to be interviewing Harry March (the “bad boy” of animals-in-business-setting photography” for those of you aren’t familiar) on his upcoming Vultures, Condors, and Venture Capitalists installation which will be featured in Busi-mal Quarterly. And before you even think it, yes, I will be covering the on-going breed discrimination controversy in office “Hang in There, Kitty” posters.

I understand that this is a firm departure from what calvinsharpebooks.com has represented so far, but for those of you willing to take this next step with me, I promise to be the premier busi-mal blog on your reading list.

Here’s to a future for this blog that is both adorable and professional.

PLEASE NOTE: All previously posted content will be deleted shortly to make room for a new, more streamlined busi-mal viewing experienced.
