Even MORE D&D Character Ideas

Still need characters to help spice up your D&D Campaigns? LOOK NO FURTHER:

Gnome Artificer/Loving Grandmother: Artificers use their intelligence to craft magical objects. And sure, normally that takes the form of mixing up potions and/or crafting robots, swords, and robot swords. But no one’s telling you it can’t take the form of a very devoted grandmother whose knitting skills are so advanced they’ve become magical. Why couldn’t her sweaters offer +2 to Armor Class? Why couldn’t she crochet some Mittens of Thievery? The fact that I haven’t ALREADY seen such a character is a crime.

Rabbitfolk Ranger/Hare-ied Parent: The new Feywild expansions have made rabbit people an official class in Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. And if we know anything about Rabbits, it’s that they’re good at multiplying. Why not make your next ranger a Swarmkeeper, a ranger whose powers come from the multitude of small creatures they command? And why not make that swarm a bunch of tiny Rabbitfolk who your poor ranger couldn’t find a babysitter for? I can’t think of a reason, that’s for sure.

Reluctant Bard: There’s plenty of stories about characters being chosen by Gods or Monsters to do their bidding, and hating every moment of it. But I have yet to see a story about a character who just wants to live a normal life but can’t because they’re too impossibly charismatic. How are they supposed to run their farm when the farmhands keep getting Bardic Inspiration and lapsing into musical numbers every time your Bard walks by? And how do you cure yourself of such magical magnetism? I have no clue, but by the Gods I need someone to find out.
