Quick Thoughts on The Locked Tomb Series
My friends got me hooked on Tamsyn Muir’s The Locked Tomb series in the past month or so, and it’s been a while since I tore through a series this quickly. The books are weird, funny, and compulsively readable. These are some stray thoughts that I had while reading the first three books.
At the beginning of Gideon the Ninth: This might be too goth even for me.
Around the middle of Gideon the Ninth: I don’t care for Harrowhark.
At the end of Gideon the Ninth: Things have been popping off for like 70 pages straight, but I’m down for it.
At the beginning of Harrow the Ninth: I don’t care for Harrowhark.
Around the middle of Harrow the Ninth: Come to think of it, I don’t care for any of these people.
At the end of Harrow the Ninth: Things have been popping off for like 70 pages straight, and it’s all coming together really nicely. Also? I don’t care for Harrowhark, but I really don’t care for Ianthe.
At the beginning of Nona the Ninth: Nona is a precious pastry of a human being that must be protected at all costs.
Around the middle of Nona the Ninth: OK, now I get the cow jokes my friends have been making for the past several months.
At the end of Nona the Ninth: Things have been popping off for like 70 pages straight and I have no idea where we go from here. Also, is it September yet?
