Pitch, Please Number Five

Welcome back to Pitch, Please, where I pitch sure-to-be film successes inventing movie premises based on prompts that I write with a little help from my old friend, the internet. Last week’s prompt was:

So, in one word, the next Pixar adventure will star: candles

*Please note toys, fish, bugs, cars, toys, feelings, toys, bears, toys, rats, dinosaurs, superheroes, feelings, toys, skeletons, fairy tales, and toys are off limits.

Welcome to a world where lighting a candle brings it to life. Candles and humans get along quite nicely. Holy votive candles pray, tea lights throw tiny tea parties, and birthday candles know how to party. Some last for minutes. Some last for years. But no candle lasts forever…

But tell that to Chandler. In the Northeast Waxworks, Chandler has been around for years, but he’s been so rarely used that his friends have all left him behind. When Chandler meets Lyddie, a new human hire at the Waxworks, he comes alive for the first time in years, while all his friends’ adventuring days have begun to flicker out. Chandler worries he’s missed his chance… but with a new friend, it’s never too late.

He’ll get LIT. He’ll have a WICK-ed time. And if he’s lucky, he’ll show everyone what a late-bloomer is capable of.

Warning, do not leave candles unattended to let them go on heartwarming adventures.

Next time’s prompt is:

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to your childhood… Your favorite game/toy returned! The  _____________________ reboot will be the grittiest thrill ride of the summer. Nothing is off limits (apparently). ___________________ has a dark secret and a whole lot to lose, _______________’s hidden addiction is about to come to light, and the whole ___________ will never be the same.
